The only way to deal with it is to go off the beaten track and avoid the tourist hotspots between the Rialto and St Mark's. Having been to Venice earlier th...Well done, Fiona. Having been to Venice earlier this year I was rather of the mind that it was quite possibly the most <I>un</I>-frugal thing a person could do. We happened to catch one of the Rialto market days, and although we weren't there to buy any food for ourselves the stalls of fresh fish and vegetables were nevertheless a wonderful sight to witness. We also got drawn into one of the many tourist trap restaurant areas near to Saint Mark's basilica and had the most awful meal I've eaten anywhere in the world: I'm sure they gave us bagged salad and Heinz tinned spaghetti!Career Misfithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10566880548603573056noreply@blogger.com
