However I do think the UK is probably more expensive than the US anyway.

Glad you and gairloch both like the recipe anyway ;-)Fiona Becketthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12970779962455905201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3362152498675364583.post-62622087941303756832008-09-28T20:24:00.000+01:002008-09-28T20:24:00.000+01:00That's a lovely dish, but I was startled by the pr...That's a lovely dish, but I was startled by the price shown in your photo, and curious enough to do the conversion to our U.S. equivalents. The 5.25 UK pounds per kilo works out to about $4.40 US per pound, which is about twice what I would expect to pay for nice pork chops in the Seattle area. (On sale I would pay $1.99; regular between $2.39 - $2.99). I've been feeling sorry for myself at the decline in the value of the dollar, but now I wonder if lower costs of living don't more than make up the difference.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3362152498675364583.post-66955912393652729372008-09-28T10:54:00.000+01:002008-09-28T10:54:00.000+01:00Delicious and super easy - thanksDelicious and super easy - thanksUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08455455733349843834noreply@blogger.com
