The Frugal Cook goes live!
If you live in or near Bristol you might like to come along to a live gig I'm doing at the Cookery School at Bordeaux Quay next Thursday 26th. I'll be cooking some recipes from the book and we'll have a bit of fun working out what to do with the leftovers in your fridge and storecupboard (don't actually bring the ingredients or we'll get in trouble with the health police, just a list of 5 ingredients, Ready, Steady, Cook-style)
The demo which lasts from 6.30-8.30pm costs £35 including wine, beer and tapas. Great fun and learn how to trim your household budget into the bargain! To book email cookery.school@bordeaux-quay.co.uk or call 0117 904 6679.
Unfortunately this demo is now being postponed. Long complicated saga but good news if you wanted to come and couldn't make it.

I wish I lived in Bristol! (Or at least, still doing my degree in Bristol and commuting from Oxford...). I hope it's successful - and that you then start running them around the country.
Will we get a snippet or two here? Please?? :-)
Well it'll be a virtual snippet but will definitely post something after the event.
We're thinking about doing some Beyond Baked Beans events tho' - watch this space!
Good luck with the Live Show! Looking forward to seeing the virtual snippet too...
BBB events would be good too as long as you don't need to still be a student!!
Nah, course not. All welcome!
Are you Facebook, Fiona?
This would be a good one to share there
I am but ridiculously never thought of it. Twitter seems a much more effective way of circulating info these days but will post something on the Beyond Baked Beans page. Thanks!
I can only dream of living anywhere remotely close to Bristol :) Someday I will make it over there!
i've started a new blog event called Thrifty Thursdays if you are interested in blogging along! http://amandascookin.blogspot.com/2009/02/gauging-interest-thrifty-thursday.html :)
Hi Amanda - great idea! Will add your blog to my Frugal links.
